계속 담론 담론 하는데 정확히 모르는 분을 위해서~

현실에 관한 설명을 산출하는 언표(statement)와 규칙의 자기지시적인 집합체.

담화(談話) 또는 언술(言述), 언설(言說)이라고도 한다. 일반적으로 담론은 말로 하는 언어에서는 한 마디의 말보다 큰 일련의 말들을 가리키고, 글로 쓰는 언어에서는 한 문장보다 큰 일련의 문장들을 가리키는 언어학적 용어이다.

담론은 사용 중인 언어를 가리키기도 하는데, 이는 포스트구조주의 이론가인 미셸 푸코(Michel Foucault)의 영향에 따른 것이다. 미셸 푸코는 담론을 특정 대상이나 개념에 대한 지식을 생성시킴으로써 현실에 관한 설명을 산출하는 언표들의 응집력 있고 자기지시적인 집합체로 간주하였다.

의역: 학생들의 신체는 정해진 수업시간 동안 우리와 함께 한 교실에 갖혀있을지 모르지만, 학생들의 생각은  완전히 다른 곳에 있다.

의역: 몇몇 연구가들은 전부는 아니더라도 거의 대부분의 화석이 근대에 와서 구덩이에 박혀 있었을 것이고 심지어 몇몇 화석들은 누군가에 의해 조작되어 왔다고 주장했다.

operate 는 '(회사를) 운영'하는 경우 수동태로 안 쓴다. 운영하다, 운영되다 의미를 둘 다 가지고 있다. (토익에는 종종 나오는 거 같은데, 공무원 시험에 나올 줄은..)

- 이와 같은 문제를 맞추기 위해서는 문제를 많이 풀면 된다. 그냥 외워서는 시험에 나오면 적용하기 힘들다.

 반면, operate on '수술하다' 의 의미일 경우, 수동태로 쓸 수 있다.  

ex) He will be operated on tomorrow.

              의역: 싱가포르는 정부에 의해서 표현의 자유'언론의 자유'가 통제되지만, 싱가포르에서 운영 중인 비정부 조직에 의에 설립된 한 인터넷 사이트 '싱크 센터'는 사형제에 대해 싱가포르인을 대상으로 여론 조사를 했다
