Each is functionally specialized for solving a different adaptive problem that arose during hominid evolutionary history, such as face recognition, foraging, mate choice, heart rate regulation, sleep management, or predator vigilance, and each is activated by a different set of cues from the environment. 계속 담론 담론 하는데 정확히 모르는 분을 위해서~

현실에 관한 설명을 산출하는 언표(statement)와 규칙의 자기지시적인 집합체.

담화(談話) 또는 언술(言述), 언설(言說)이라고도 한다. 일반적으로 담론은 말로 하는 언어에서는 한 마디의 말보다 큰 일련의 말들을 가리키고, 글로 쓰는 언어에서는 한 문장보다 큰 일련의 문장들을 가리키는 언어학적 용어이다.

담론은 사용 중인 언어를 가리키기도 하는데, 이는 포스트구조주의 이론가인 미셸 푸코(Michel Foucault)의 영향에 따른 것이다. 미셸 푸코는 담론을 특정 대상이나 개념에 대한 지식을 생성시킴으로써 현실에 관한 설명을 산출하는 언표들의 응집력 있고 자기지시적인 집합체로 간주하였다.

의역: 학생들의 신체는 정해진 수업시간 동안 우리와 함께 한 교실에 갖혀있을지 모르지만, 학생들의 생각은  완전히 다른 곳에 있다.
